(Job #2498 - PART TIME) NP or PA for part time position with a well-established Dermatology practice near Santa Monica. This is an opportunity for an NP or PA to work with a “Top Doctor” in a schedule you and the doctor develop together!
ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is fully medical Dermatology (not aesthetics)

Evaluate patient issues discussing possible causes
-
Order or perform diagnostic testing which may include taking biopsies, allergy testing and other procedures
-
Review test results and discuss results, treatments and options with patients to finalize treatment plan

Initiate treatment
SCHEDULE
-
Ideally 2-3 days per week - schedule not yet set. Specific hour/ day schedule to be coordinated between the doctor and the person hired.
REQUIREMENTS
-
Current and clean NP or PA license
-
Experience in some aspect of Dermatology, Allergy, Oncology
-
This role is not performing aesthetics but providing Dermatology care including allergic reactions, rashes, skin testing, biopsies and more
-
Ability to be dependable to the schedule set and punctual

Communication skills to talk with patients about their symptoms, potential causes and diagnosis, treatment options and care plans
COMPENSATION:
-
As this is a new role, compensation will be discussed based on applicant needs, the schedule and experience level.

Pay as a W2 or optionally as a 1099 if the applicant has a company already established with a California Tax ID in place

JOB DETAILS

Perform history and physical examinations of oncology patients, provide accurate assessment and evaluation of oncology patients, and implement appropriate treatment plans under established protocols and physician supervision

Work with patients to Identify the optimum treatments that will be both tolerable and effective

Apply chemotherapy and new treatments including target and immunotherapy to patients,
-
Work with patients to utilize all resources available including infusions and specialty medications
-
Coordinate with other specialists both locally and at renowned academic centers.

Provide assistance as office management in the doctor’s absence
REQUIREMENTS

Detailed background in oncology clinical medicine

Ability to independently prioritize work with minimal direct supervision

Professional communication skills including English speaking and writing to ensure clear communication

Experienced using an EMR/EHR system (electronic health record), word processing and spreadsheet programs to manage and retrieve patient information

Ability to work independently with limited supervision in the outpatient environment while performing a variety of tasks

Experienced in proactively organizing, coordinating, and following complex clinical regimens

Skill in communicating and translating medical information to patients and their families in a clear way they will understand, including giving patients and families an understanding of their medical condition and what they might expect in the future.

Knowledge and proficiency of the English language sufficient to read medical reports and records with comprehension and to prepare reports and correspondence

Professional ability to interact effectively and communicate accurately with patients, colleagues and referring physicians

Skill in working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues

Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and frequent interruption Skill in prioritizing assignment to complete work in a timely and accurate manner

Proactively learn and follow practice and Hospital policies and procedures related to functions and responsibilities of the position
LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

Graduated from an accredited MSN or PA program with a focus in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (acute care, Family or Primary program required)

Current CA RN ,NP/PA License, BLS, DEA License
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Full Time Schedule Monday-Friday may have occasional partial day Saturday but these rotate between staff so as not to pose a hardship on any one staff member

Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year depending on experience
