SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Strong organizational skills with a high degree of attention-to-detail

• Willingness to work hand-in-hand with other Front Office team members to ensure calls and visitors are promptly serviced

• Must have a professional level of verbal communication and presentation appropriate for a high-level aesthetics practice

• Applicants must be comfortable maintaining a natural appearance with conservative makeup / personal grooming style Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment without errors or getting flustered

• Medium level of computer proficiency and strong organizational skills to handle paper charts!

JOB DETAILS:

• Make and confirm appointments ensuring a solid schedule for best use of practitioner time

• Coordinate charts as needed throughout the practice maintaining an eye to tracking them as needed to ensure they are re-filed following their use

• Convey patient requests succinctly to the doctors for fast and efficient response

• Provide appointment planning details to patients to ensure they come prepared for their visit

• Check in patients confirming chart information

• Coordinate surgical details, exams and all paperwork and in order prior to procedure day

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION:

• M-F 8:30-5p

• $22+/hr with fully paid parking

• Benefits include fully paid Health insurance after 90 day probation, Paid vacation, parking, holidays and sick

(Job # 2152)  TEMP TO PERM - START IN JUNE  MEDICAL ASSISTANT position with a West LA  Dermatology practice

ABOUT THE POSITION:

  • Room the patients, documenting patient medical history and allergies into EMR system
  • Preparing patients for doctor including draping, wound care and answering questions regarding the procedure
  • Assist with procedures including biopsies,  stitch removal, and bandaging
  • Maintain the room's cleanliness, supplies and instruments 
  • Assist Front Office when needed with phones, check in and appointments
REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current Vaccination 
  • 2+ years' prior experience working in a medical office 
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and an ability to handle prescription orders
  • Knowledge of dermatology or aesthetics is highly desired for transition to a permanent position!
  • Knowledge of medical office tools and instruments, sterilization and medical supplies
  • Willingness to assist the Front Office  when needed helping to ensure a high level of patient care.
  • Interest in learning about skincare products and procedures to educate patients about services the practice offers and skincare products available for purchase and why they are important to maintaining healthy skin 
SCHEDULE, SALARY AND BENEFITS
  • Mon, Tue, Thur &  Fri 9a-5p,  Wednesdays 1/2 day
  • $20 per hour
  • Benefits provided by the practice if the position transitions to permanent employment with the practice

DUTIES:
